| 詳細 | 報告者： フランシスコ・アルファロ（中京大学国際教養学部 助教） タイトル： Parents'Perspectives on Educational Situation of Latin-American students in Japan 概要： The study was conducted in Kansai area (Osaka and Hyogo Prefectures) and the target population was Spanish speaker’s parents who had children attending Japanese schools. The main objective was to explore the opinion of Latin American parents regarding the educational situation of their children. To collect relevant information, in-depth interviews with Latin American parents were conducted in the field. The interview guide was built based on selected problems related to the educational situation of Latin American students: academic achievement, promotion to the next level, main difficulties, kind of support activities available for them, school attendance, homework, participation during classes, bullying, discrimination and also the school-parents contact in terms of relationship and communication forms between Latin-American parents and school staff. All mentioned aspects are considered relevant in terms of student school success. |
